Severne Blade (2022)

The Severne Blade is the benchmark 5-batten wavesail. For ultimate performance in a broad range of wind conditions, a 5 batten sail gives you unmatched stability and control. Increased skin tension helps stabilize the profile while a dacron luff panel keeps a softer feel in your hands - the perfect combination for power and control.

Constructed entirely out of premium X-Ply, the Blade is one of the most durable sails on the market, yet intelligent design means it’s also one of the lightest. SpiderFibre technology has radically reduced swing weight whilst also creating a much stronger clew. Dyneema window X-Ply allows for unrestricted vision. Upper panels in VX2 reduce swing weight. The new highly durable yet lightweight eM4 material is used in the high load foot area. Engineered for performance.

/ MATERIAL
VX2 is a vertically oriented X-Ply featuring increased fibre density for stability and control, reduced film thickness for less weight, and our proven scrim layer for dependable durability. The 2 signifies the film thickness in mil.

/ ADVANTAGES
VX2 laminate significantly reduces deformation in the sail compared to eM3 material. The vertical stretch has been reduced by more than 20% whilst the horizontal stretch characteristics have increased fractionally to enhance the elastic springy feel that has defined the SV wave sails.
