Severne Foil Glide 2 Freeride Foil Sail

The Foil Glide 2 is not just a freeride windsurf sail with the word "foil" written on it.  This sail is ultra lightweight and has a high aspect design that will get you up and flying easier and earlier.    This sail shares a lot of the same technology and ideaology as the HyperGlide which is Severne's foil race windsurf sail.  Severne really keyed in on the following to make this sail really work for foiling.  The high aspect design is extremely stable, more efficient and more controllable.  The shorter boom lengths are easy to manage and help position the center of effort directly above the foil.  Combined with a tighter leech, the leverage is increased which gets you up and foiling with a smaller sail in lighter winds.  With only 5 battens and lightweight construction, the physical weight of these sails is significantly less than other sails.  For wind foiling this makes maintaining trim so much easier and overall, just a lot more fun to use.   The Foil Glide is THE choice for freeride windsurf foiling.

This is also the foiling one-design sail for the IQ Foil Junior class.

  • Lightweight - No one wants to lug around a heavy sail, but for foiling, being lightweight is imperative.  Severne does lightweight better than anyone else out there.
  • High Center of Lift - This really helps increase the leverage for efficienty and improves the pumpability.
  • Stable - Reduced draft movement means there's less influence on the trim.  Better to keep everything constant.    Cams help keep the sail profile stable and minimize any movement.
  • Short Booms - This helps offer better control.  The shorter boom length allows you to easily adjust your stance
  • Monofilm Construction - Max stability and performance
  • 5 Battens - Reduced Weight
  • 3 Cams - Increased Stability
  • High Aspect
